Halotherapy in the salt cabin

At INHALEUM, we provide halotherapy, also known as salt therapy, suitable for all age groups, including newborns and children. Conducted in a private salt cabin, it authentically replicates the microclimate of a salt cave with a salt concentration 10 to 15 times higher than moist sea air. This makes it a compelling alternative to traditional seaside or salt cave experiences.

200 years

ago, in the underground salt mines of Eastern Europe, salt therapy was born as a popular form of alternative medicine.

75 - 90%

of patients show positive results in salt therapy (depending on disease characteristics and severity).

100%

natural, drug free and non-invasive complementary treatment for people of all ages, including children.

Salt cabin vs. salt cave: How does the therapy proceed

“The effectiveness of halotherapy doesn’t depend on the amount of salt decor in the room; the crucial element is a professional halogenerator.”

Salt therapy is a completely natural procedure that entails breathing in dry salt. Thanks to its inherent properties, it aids in relieving symptoms associated with a variety of respiratory and skin conditions, fortifying the immune system, alleviating stress, promoting mental well-being, and improving physical fitness.

It acts like a sponge, absorbing unwanted particles.

It has antibacterial and antiviral effects.

It has anti-inflammatory properties.

It works as an expectorant.

Dry salt, or pure sodium chloride (NaCl), is placed into a halogenerator, which grinds it into microscopic particles and disperses them throughout the cabin’s air using a fan. This process creates a therapeutically effective salt aerosol, which is either inhaled into the respiratory system or interacts with the skin.

The efficacy of halotherapy depends on the size of the salt particles. The smaller the salt particles, the easier they are to inhale and penetrate deeper and in larger quantities into the respiratory system and skin, without causing irritation.

The salt cabin creates a serene and calming ambiance with its sound speakers and sensory lighting. The integrated ventilation system guarantees a continuous flow of fresh air.

To enhance the comfort of adults, there are zero gravity chairs for relaxation, and for  the little ones, a play area with toys is provided. With a capacity for 4 people, ideally comprising 2 adults and 2 children aged 6 and under, the salt cabin offers ample space for a comfortable and soothing experience.

What conditions can be alleviated by halotherapy in the salt cabin?

Respiratory diseases

Inhaling salt diminishes inflammation and irritation in the respiratory tract, and aids in mucus elimination. This results in a thorough cleansing of the respiratory passages and eases breathing during respiratory illnesses.

Skin conditions

Salt therapy alleviates discomfort from sore and itchy skin, normalizes pH, and replenishes moisture and elasticity. This supports the healing and regeneration process, offering relief from various skin issues.

Infections

Salt’s natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities aid in purging harmful elements from the body, diminishing inflammation, and enhancing the immune system’s ability to combat infections.

Health and immunity

The halotherapy offers an efficient preventive measure, augmenting the body’s resilience against illnesses, mitigating responses to allergens, fortifying the immune system, and promoting overall well-being.

Mental wellbeing

The serene ambiance of the salt cabin has a positive impact on the senses, respiration, and emotional state. This diminishes stress, anxiety, and strain, fostering improved sleep and emotional equilibrium.

Physical fitness

Inhaling salt aerosol boosts oxygen flow to the muscles, expediting their recovery post-physical activity. Simultaneously, it enhances overall lung capacity, resulting in improved physical fitness and heightened athletic performance.

While halotherapy offers many benefits, prioritizing your safety is crucial. Please refrain from this treatment during the following situations:

  • You’re experiencing the acute (active) phase of any illness: This includes infections with fever, acute tuberculosis, acute inflammatory diseases, contagious conditions, severe heart disorders and cardiac insufficiency, late stage lung cancer, stage three of COPD, bleeding, spitting of blood, and acute respiratory diseases.
  • You have open wounds and sores.
  • You have uncontrolled or unstable hypertension (high blood pressure).
  • You have claustrophobia.
  • You’re under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

While generally safe, halotherapy can, in some cases, lead to mild, temporary reactions that usually disappear as your body adjusts to the treatment:

  • Dry throat and increased coughing: This is a common and positive sign. Salt loosens accumulated pollutants, leading to temporary coughing as your body expels them. These effects usually subside as your airways clear.
  • Skin irritation or sensitivity: If you encounter these, simply reduce the frequency of your sessions.
