Many health insurance companies in the Czech Republic offer financial contributions to their clients for salt therapy, also known as visiting a salt cave, as part of their health and prevention support programs. We have prepared an overview of these contributions for you.
General health insurance company of the Czech Republic (VZP – 111)
VZP offers several contributions that can be used for rehabilitation and spa-like activities, such as visiting a salt cave:
- 2,000 CZK for adults over 18 who undergo preventive screening. More information >>
- 5,000 CZK for pregnant women and mothers up to 12 months postpartum, including baby care. More information >>
- 2,000 CZK for insured individuals of any age with diabetes mellitus. More information >>
- 500 – 3,000 CZK for blood, plasma, platelet, and bone marrow donors. More information >>

Military health insurance of the Czech Republic (VoZP – 201)
The VoZP offers several programs through which beneficiaries can receive varying amounts of contributions for regeneration, rehabilitation, and spa treatments, including visits to salt caves:
- 1,000 CZK for all insured persons under the “Healthy insured” program. (Note: Registration for new participants is currently suspended for 2024.) More information >>

Czech industrial health insurance company (ČPZP – 205)
ČPZP contributes to various regeneration activities and therapeutic treatments, including stays in salt caves, as follows:

OZP contributes to salt cave stays as follows:
